Administration Assistant Intern (Non-Profit)

The Asian American Coalition for Education (AACE) is seeking for a qualified and passionate candidate to intern as Administration Assistant, who support AACE daily operations to implement its mission— promote equal education rights and advocate for educational excellence & meritocracy. This position will work under the direct supervision of AACE president to execute the decisions made by the AACE Board.

Title of position: Administration Assistant Intern

Position type:  Part-time (about 20 hours per week), work from home. Most tasks can be performed with a flexible time schedule. However, in case of a major event, the Administration Assistant Intern needs to immediate devote to the required tasks and provide timely response.

Pay range: $15 per hour, plus bonus if achieving resulting in fundraising.

Duration: May-August 2026

Description of responsibilities: Administration Assistant Intern will have the following responsibilities:

  • Draft AACE policy responses and/or press releases in English, preferably translate into Chinese and other Asian languages.
  • Execute fundraising activities such as contacting prospective foundations or individual donors, writing and issuing fundraising letters.
  • Perform community outreach activities and expand AACE organizational alliances nationwide, through using emails, phone calls and social media platform.
  • Conduct timely research, monitor and analyze relevant educational policy events or issues.
  • Organize events such as seminars, conferences and demonstration
  • Updating AACE Website.
  • Perform other AACE mission related tasks

Required and preferred education and skills:

  • Strongly agree with and is willing to support AACE mission.
  • One plus year College education, preferably with a language, liberal arts or social sciences major.
  • Outstanding English communication skills.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Strong research capability through online and other means.
  • Highly motivated and proactive.
  • Chinese and other Asian language skills is a plus.
